Basic Planetary Gearbox with 3 Degrees of Freedom: A Functional Prototype for Real-Life Applications and Educational Purposes. Our primary goal was to design and build a prototype that could be used in both practical situations and as an educational tool, effectively representing three distinct mechanical gear transmissions. To achieve this, we created a model comprising approximately 200 essential parts. After creating the 3D model in SolidWorks, we utilized Ultimaker 2+ and 3D printers to manufacture the prototype, combining over 100 3D printed components with standard parts such as bearings, bolts, nuts, and retaining rings. This process involved printing more than 100 prototypes using four Ultimaker 3D printers. The 3D model was designed by CGPdesign member Jasmin Smajic, while the renders were created by Adi paX Pandzic. You can download the full 3D model in SolidWorks 2017 from here: https://grabcad.com/library/planetary_gearbox_cgpdesign-1 For STL files to print this entire model, click here.
