Planetary Gear Box

Planetary Gear Box

thingiverse

A box that grabs hold of its base with sturdy hooks attached to planetary gears. Unlike most sets of planetary gears, this one has no central sun gear; instead, a stable triangle keeps the three components securely in place relative to each other. Print Settings Printer: M3D Micro Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: Low Notes: The lid is comprised of all individual pieces except for the base. All pins simply pop into position with ease. The base can be printed without support if your bridging skills are good enough (I recommend printing it top-down to accurately print the gear teeth). There will be some slight wobbling of the pins when assembled correctly. Edit: The pin plate has been updated with new pins that experience much less wobbling. It is recommended to insert them through the lid and then into the gears for a smoother and more visually appealing assembly, although either method can be used.
