This board assists students in grasping plane shape fundamentals and is featured in the Makerspace Education section of "The Makerspace Workbench" book from Maker Media. To create, use a laser cutter to form the board, attach a string, and insert small 1/8" wooden pegs. The peg arrangement allows for shapes such as triangles, squares, rectangles, pentagons, hexagons, octagons, decagons, and more.
