Plane Crank Slide with Pendulum

Plane Crank Slide with Pendulum

grabcad

This project, created using Autodesk Inventor 2014's Dynamic Simulation feature, features a Crank Wheel rotation at 27.5 rotations per minute (180 degrees per second). Friction is not factored into the simulation. The Crank Wheel's forced and constant motion causes the Sliding Lever to slide, resulting in pendulum oscillation. After some time, the pendulum completes a full revolution due to dynamic rules governing the movement. Despite this, the movement may appear random to observers. To use Inventor, download all files into a single directory and open the .iam file with Inventor 2014 or later versions. Access Environments/Dynamic Simulation, click Play, and choose 2400 images instead of 12000 if waiting becomes an issue. Happy simulation!
