Planarian Trap | Bristle Worm Trap

This design is a trap for planarians or worms. Every owner of an aquarium knows it - every now and then you catch planarians as uninvited guests, which multiply abruptly and decimate the stock of snails and shrimp. This trap offers the possibility to deal with this problem in a natural way without the use of chemicals. In the basket in the middle of the trap a bait for the planarians can be placed, which attracts the planarians into the trap - for me beef or a shrimp works best. Once the worms have entered the trap, it is very difficult for them to leave the trap and they can be removed from the aquarium. The design also prevents the planarians/worms from getting to the bait without entering the trap. It is safe for normal sized fishs because only worms can enter this trap. For easy use, the lid of this trap is threaded.
