It's also worth mentioning that proper fitting on a dowel could make the model feel slightly more secure than if merely printed loose or without some basic post-processing care to get a snugger, less-rough finish around seams & supports, and I noticed some great improvements with support when doing it in ReplicatorG; especially helpful considering how it still managed quite fine for my second try of settings with only moderate changes (a few points raised just by following suggested print volume for more robust prints at least - that way even parts on Rep G did not break upon removing supports).
