2019FEB19 When I stumbled upon Sandpiper's stunning Plague Doctor Bust, I knew I had to create a version that could blend seamlessly with my mini-figures. This customized bust lacks the intricate details and exceptional quality of the original, which is why I had to edit, simplify, and resize it extensively. Nevertheless, it can be a great addition to your otherwise cheerful mini-figure world if you're looking to darken the mood. To achieve the best results, rotate the head so it lies on its back and use Cura line supports. Keep in mind that the head might be slightly too tight for standard mini-figures depending on your printer. A bit of sanding or a craft knife should resolve this issue easily. My post-processing and cleanup were minimal, which is why my print shows some imperfections. I'll upload an updated picture soon to do justice to the original piece. I printed the bust in PLA, but ABS with a high-quality finish would probably look even better. In addition to the Plague Doctor Bust, I'm planning to create a version with a cloak and a time-keeping staff, but for now, that's on hold. To get a quick brown mini-figure body, I used https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1441533 as my reference.
