PLA temp towers 4 temp ranges with 6 or 8 temps per tower, with retraction, overhang, slit tests included
thingiverse
There are two different sized towers, one with eight temperature sections, the other with six temperature sections. Each section measures seven millimeters tall. The temperature changes occur at five degrees Celsius for the layers between 190-215 and 185-220. Similarly, the temperature changes take place at two degrees Celsius for the layers between 195-205 and 191-205. These changes happen immediately after the bridges are finished in the G-code. All settings are also included in the project folders. Sliced with PrusaSlicer and G-code edited to include temp changes. Dimensions of the design: The base plate measures sixteen millimeters by fifty-one millimeters by one millimeter. The towers are spaced twenty millimeters apart. The wall thickness of the thick portion of the towers is two millimeters. This portion is five millimeters tall. The thin portion of the towers measures two millimeters in height and is offset one millimeter from the thick portions, resulting in a one-millimeter overhang. The bridge is one millimeter thick. Bridge cylinders, or retraction test portions, measure four millimeters in diameter with a 45-degree chamfer on top. These cylinders are spaced eight millimeters apart on the edges closest to each other. Left Tower: The tower dimensions are ten millimeters by ten millimeters. The overhang on the left side of the tower is sixty degrees and three millimeters from the tower at the tip of the overhang. The chamfer on the bridge side of the tower is 45 degrees. A hole measuring three millimeters in diameter is located on the back of the tower. Right Tower: The tower dimensions are ten millimeters by fifteen millimeters, to the edge of the arc portion. A fillet measures three millimeters on the bridge side of the tower. Slits measuring .5mm and 1mm wide are located on the back of the tower. The arc diameter on the right side of the tower is ten millimeters on the outside and six millimeters on the inside. Temperature changes occur at the following layer heights for the four towers: PLA 195-205 0.2mm - 205 degrees Celsius 8.2mm - 203 degrees Celsius 15.2mm - 201 degrees Celsius 22.2mm - 199 degrees Celsius 29.2mm - 197 degrees Celsius 36.2mm - 195 degrees Celsius PLA 191-205 0.2mm - 205 degrees Celsius 8.2mm - 203 degrees Celsius 15.2mm - 201 degrees Celsius 22.2mm - 199 degrees Celsius 29.2mm - 197 degrees Celsius 36.2mm - 195 degrees Celsius 43.2mm - 193 degrees Celsius 50.2mm - 191 degrees Celsius PLA 190-215 0.2mm - 215 degrees Celsius 8.2mm - 210 degrees Celsius 15.2mm - 205 degrees Celsius 22.2mm - 200 degrees Celsius 29.2mm - 195 degrees Celsius 36.2mm - 190 degrees Celsius PLA 185-220 0.2mm - 220 degrees Celsius 8.2mm - 215 degrees Celsius 15.2mm - 210 degrees Celsius 22.2mm - 205 degrees Celsius 29.2mm - 200 degrees Celsius 36.2mm - 195 degrees Celsius 43.2mm - 190 degrees Celsius 50.2mm - 185 degrees Celsius
