PLA Spring motor, rolling car easy to mount
thingiverse
Edit : New Rear Wheels and Tires Added Fresh tires require printing with flexible material, I chose Filaflex. This is a remix from the famous PLA spring motor rolling chassis http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:430050 I made this modification because the original assembly requires extensive refinements and cutting/sanding. With these new pieces, assembly takes just one minute due to spacers on the new right side and new wheel axles with clips at the end. You only need to trim some material from holes on the bed side if you have a warming bed. This can be done with a tiny file. Use the original slotted rear wheels, and for front wheels, I've included a special short axle. You can use the original front wheels if you prefer. The new wheels require both (front and rear) long axles and rubber bands, especially for the rear wheels. You can also add torus rings. I made a spacer for the rear wheel to keep the gear in its proper place. No more need for tight fits on any part. Assembly and disassembly are now incredibly easy. Check it out in action: https://youtu.be/l0PEWP-if6s Print the spring with 100% infill. All other parts print fine with 10-20% infill. I printed all pieces at a layer thickness of 0.20 mm on my Cel Robox printer. I designed these new pieces using Fusion 360 (very similar to Solidworks).
