I love my PLA Micro Kwad so much that I push its flying limits, which often results in breaking a lot of frames - it's just how I roll! And with Inductrix frames now costing nearly £8 + P&P, I started thinking about whether I could print my own frame whenever I need one and in any color I fancy. This design provides a temporary solution for those weekends when you break your frame, have no spares, and the shops are closed - it's a lifesaver! Now you can print your own frame until you can order a new one, and more importantly, it keeps you flying while waiting for your new frame to arrive. The design took a few weeks to perfect, and I still have some work to do to make it lighter... But the good news is that I now have a fully flying Micro Kwad that I can print in any color I choose from Rigid's great range - in either ABS, PLA, or PLA+ for about a £1. The kit includes the frame, camera, battery, motor mounts, and more! I'm using TPU for the camera mount and motor mounts now... Flight times are impressive - I'm getting around 3 minutes of flight time with plenty of power, and an all-up weight of the parts (without motors, camera, or FC) is just 8g. Compared to other frames like the Ragg-E at 7g, Lynx Heli at 6g, and Inductrix Frame at 5g. Existing Frames: 1. Blade Inductrix Main Frame - £7.55 + P&P 2.
