PLA FAN 2 Because my PLA FAN can only cool from one side, I built a second one. This new fan has a much bigger housing, taking up more space, but it's designed to spread the air 360 degrees around the nozzle without hitting it directly. The two-part design allows for a smooth interior surface that reduces air resistance and increases airflow, also extending the fan's life and decreasing noise levels. I printed this model in translucent PET-G so the light from the LED, mounted on the bottom of the X wagon, shines through. Support material is already added to the main body, which needs to be removed afterwards. The print screen provides more details. The main body and lid are glued together at the outer ends, while the mounting brackets required for this fan housing include an extra option for a timing belt stabilizer. This feature helps prevent timing belts from vibrating like a guitar string when they're long. By attaching it to the timing belt, it absorbs vibrations and keeps the belt stable. The design also utilizes three bearings (623ZZ) with a 10mm x 4mm diameter and a 3mm bore, making it suitable for spiral vase mode printing.
