The new PLA gear kit features parametric connectors that are compatible with the material. With this OpenSCAD kit, only the outer shell changes while the gear center and pins remain constant. This allows for diverse gear object combinations. If you have a Replicator 1/2/2X, print the center_plate, pin_plate, and full_plate, as they come with helper tabs ready for slicing. The center and pins are kept separate to allow printing in different colors. For smaller printers, use the small_plate and plate2 four times instead of the full_plate. The blue cube gear above was printed with 25% infill, three shells (plus two extra shells in ReplicatorG), at a 200 micron layer height with skin module enabled.
