The PLA cooling extruder began as a novelty and it actually works perfectly. You can find the FCStd file right here, feel free to modify it according to your needs. This design is fully hollow, making room for a standard 30mm fan. The user will have complete control over the holes' placement - I personally drilled seven of them by hand using a 2.5mm drill bit, without any bolts whatsoever. As an added bonus, these holes are perfectly suited for 3mm screws. Keep in mind that this design is specifically tailored for PLA. When I tried it with ABS, the material didn't melt at all. Now, I'm just waiting for my turbine fan to arrive so I can give it another go. The walls of this design are a sturdy 1.5mm thick, making it easy to print without any issues. Just remember to add supports where necessary - and if you're feeling adventurous, Kura might even try to cover up the fan hole!
