I'm sharing the parts I designed for my connected chicken coop project. The motor runs on 12V, and I've got end-of-travel sensors; control is handled by an Arduino Nano with wireless communication via ESP8266. Everything's controllable directly from within the coop or through my JEEDOM system. Power comes from a 12V battery that recharges via a solar panel.
