Cutting out Puff Pastry is a Simple Process. To begin, preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Make sure to line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Next, roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it reaches a thickness of about 1/8 inch. Use a cookie cutter or a knife to cut out circles of dough that are roughly 3-4 inches in diameter. You can also use a glass or a mug to cut out shapes from the puff pastry. Simply place the glass or mug on top of the dough and press down gently to create a circle. Once you have cut out all the desired shapes, place them on the prepared baking sheet. You should end up with about 12-15 pizzettes in total. Brush the tops of the pizzettes with a little bit of olive oil and sprinkle with salt. This will help bring out the flavor of the pastry. Now it's time to add the toppings. For this recipe, we're using a mixture of cherry tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil leaves. Simply place a small spoonful of the topping mixture onto each pizzetta. Bake the pizzettes in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Remove them from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving. Serve the pizzettes warm, garnished with additional basil leaves if desired. Enjoy!
