PixelPi AC - Raspberry Pi HAT
grabcad
PixelPi AC is a Raspberry Pi HAT designed for controlling and switching APA102/WS2801 addressable LED strips and LED drivers. It uses the Raspberry Pi's GPIOs directly, eliminating the need for I2C communication and simplifying integration with WiringPi. The PixelPi AC features four selectable addresses for relay control output, AC detect input, and spare GPIO for external buttons or switches. This allows stacking multiple LED strips and drivers for simultaneous control, enhancing compatibility with other HATs/pHATs. Unique to the PixelPi AC is its ability to be hard-wired to the LED driver powering the LEDs, enabling both 1-way and 2-way switching up to a 6A current rating. The product is still in prototype phase, with plans for a Kickstarter campaign upon finalization. User feedback on the 3D model and feature requests are welcome. The design was created in SketchUp and rendered in Keyshot 5 Pro. The Raspberry Pi B+ model used is an adaptation from another creator. Copyright © 2018 - Dan Jones - plasmadan.com
