Pivoting Panel Pass-throughs for 4mm PTFE tube

<p>This pivoting pass-through allows to feed an 4 mm PTFE tube through a panel. Typical use: feeding a tube into the printer enclosure or from a filament drybox. &nbsp;A mounting solution for using with a LACK table (and two of these pivoting pass-through's) is also provided.</p><p>I used PLA for everything, but other materials will work as well.<br>&nbsp;</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/61689/rich_content/680a432a-d55f-4442-bca7-fc1e6a458d1e/all-variants.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%2245fd4393-b67d-455f-9339-17014875807a%22%2C%22w%22%3A4073%2C%22h%22%3A805%7D"></figure><p>There are pivots for 10mm pneumatic couplers (PC4-01), but also 6mm (PC4-M6) and 5mm (PC4-M5). You need pneumatic couplers where the PTFE tube can be fed through. Especially for the &nbsp;PC4-M5 this is rare, but they exist! Most common is PC4-01 (the 10mm variant).<br><br>Also two variants exist for use without any pneumatic couplers, one with a loose, and one with a tight fit of the PTFE tube.</p><figure class="image image-style-align-left image_resized" style="width:55.45%;"><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/61689/rich_content/6b8a3ab3-25ee-462e-808d-66fb92739193/m10.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%225cd3b5ce-7ee8-49c5-975a-a03b89276db0%22%2C%22w%22%3A1839%2C%22h%22%3A910%7D"></figure><p><br>All pivots can be printed without support for the “flat” variant. The “round” variants need supports however.<br><br>This shows the 10mm variants: PC4-01. They have the advantage, that the pivoting movement is larger compared to the ones using pneumatic couplers.</p><figure class="image image-style-align-left image_resized" style="width:59.53%;"><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/61689/rich_content/2665ad0f-8d24-4180-b952-871a5bd2fb29/tight.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22216226bd-7cfd-4ce2-92f9-e0df2e3fad9d%22%2C%22w%22%3A580%2C%22h%22%3A292%7D"></figure><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The “tight”fit.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><figure class="image image-style-align-left image_resized" style="width:59.46%;"><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/61689/rich_content/15d13574-f0f0-48e8-8d37-672e29abf2a6/loose.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22785a84b5-6af9-43e5-b9a3-4e7bd39d463e%22%2C%22w%22%3A618%2C%22h%22%3A329%7D"></figure><p>&nbsp;</p><p>And the “loose” fit.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Finally you need a nut for each throughput. For a panel, use the small nut. Drill a hole by pre-drilling and then use a step drill to drill a hole that fits. I used 30mm holes.&nbsp;</p><p>For passing through an IKEA LACK table use the tube with two pivots. I use one “loose” and one pneumatic coupler pivot for this. Drilling through an IKEA LACK table is messy. Pre-drill carefully and then drill 30mm holes from both sides and remove the “infill”. The tube makes a clean PTFE throughput, somewhat flexible still.</p><figure class="image image-style-align-left image_resized" style="width:50%;"><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/61689/rich_content/a24933e9-52c7-48d5-922b-b73519d7907c/nut-and-lack-table-nut.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%223dda894d-e7b4-443b-95f6-544115b53f43%22%2C%22w%22%3A763%2C%22h%22%3A596%7D"></figure>
