PIVOT POLISHER
thingiverse
To polish pivots cheaply as a novice watchmaker, craft sticks from Wal-Mart can be utilized. Start by obtaining templates from 'polish the pivot stick.cdr' and 'polish the pivot paper.cdr'. Cut sandpaper to fit the sticks according to the template, then glue it inside the sticks with a glue stick. Only apply glue 3/4 of the way down for easy replacement when worn out. Check out the 'before and after' pictures of an escape gear pivot to see the results. Thanks to John Tope for this idea; if you need training, visit http://www.ticktockpro.com/.
