Pivot Dual Hotend Carrier Remix
thingiverse
I'm putting this project on hold, so feel free to take over where I left off if you're interested. The mount for the motor needs adjustment to fit the longer V6 heat sink length. I was really impressed by ShapeLabs' head-swapping method and wanted to make some tweaks to suit my Flsun Prusa I3 clone. I resized the pivot part to accommodate dual V6 hotend heatsinks - the original design seemed sized for clone heatsinks, so I made that change. I also added a mount for a 50x15 radial fan to the heatsink clamp. Next up, I plan to remix a blower-carrier and use a magnet along with screws to align the print heads. The printhead swap will be triggered by X0 and X200 (or whatever the correct limit is) using a guide arm to pivot the dual head. Stay tuned for updates - it's going to be a slow process.
