The Piton de la Fournaise is created from SRTM data obtained by the Space Shuttle through use of SRTM2STL. Source code for creating these files can be found on github, licensed under GNU terms. To access this source code, search github for SRTM2STL. Instructions: Printing on a relatively small scale may be preferred as PLA can exhibit warping during the printing process and results are exacerbated when printing Raised Relief Maps that cover large areas.
