As with all automated undead, Henrik began to show signs of decay, coinciding perfectly with the initial experiments conducted on Gavel after his attempted murder. Soon enough, Henrik was enrolled in the "retirement" program and sent to the Old City, with Gavel taking his place as chief enforcer. Mayor Craven, head of the city council, wasted no time in appropriating Henrik. He put his best scientists and alchemists to work, fixing and re-purposing Henrik, transforming him into the Pitchborne Magistrate, the right hand of the Mayor's smuggling operations. However, before his retirement and predicting the Mayor's eagerness to claim the prestigious former chief, Balthazar Morris infested Henrik with the leechpox—the same strand used on Gavel. As the pox took hold and unleashed its true form, the Magistrate became a truly terrifying organic weapon of immeasurable destructive power. Yet, fragments of his re-purposed mind still attempt to fight against the overtaking leech tadpoles consuming his brain.
