Pitan body for metal bowden fitting
thingiverse
I designed this remix to accommodate a metal bowden fitting with a 1/8 NPT thread instead of the standard plastic insert. The body's internal thread is custom-metric rather than true NPT, measuring approximately 9.7mm; I found an M10 thread to be excessively loose. A spacer or disc is required between the rear part of the metal fitting and the filament guide to prevent a 3.5 mm gap from forming. Furthermore, I had to reduce the internal diameter of the smaller gear (from 5.2mm to 5.1mm) as it was too loose on my stepper motor. Update 20190613: Mirror versions of the body and lid have been added; however, these have not undergone testing, so I'm uncertain about the thread direction. Feedback is greatly appreciated.
