Pitan 625 w/improved tension bolt seat

thingiverse

I printed and built the version of the design from Thingiverse, and I was mostly happy with its performance. The only reason I chose that particular design is that my local 3D printer parts supplier had 625 bearings in stock, but no 695 bearings. Update v1.1: * Removed an unnecessary alignment pin that didn't print well. * Reduced some material from the tension nut retainer to eliminate interference with the tension arm. * Adjusted the size of the cover lug that helps retain the captured nut so it fits better. What I Changed and Why I felt that the way the cover and body closed around the tension adjustment bolt controlling the spring holding the filament was not strong enough. This caused the captured bolt to try to escape when setting the spring load too high. Since the 625 remix from Leitnin didn't include a .f3d file, I went back to the original Pitan design by MakinBug and modified it for 625 bearings. Then, I modified the cover and body to add more support around that captured nut. An additional screw hole was added to pinch the unsupported outside, and a bit was added to the cover so that the cover now helps support the head of the captured nut instead of relying solely on the body. I had to remove most of the finishing fillets and chamfers - I suspect mine are not as consistent as the originals. Acknowledgements Big thanks go out to both MakinBug and Leitnin for their work.
