Piston and Conrod desk tidy
thingiverse
My recently acquired 3D printer from 3dprintingsystems.com has been working overtime, and my latest project involves recreating an old piston and connecting rod setup that I used to keep on my desk as a makeshift desk organizer in the past. To design these parts, I referenced various images of the components found through Google searches and created the necessary files using Solidworks. In addition, I decided to print some oil scraper rings for good measure. To facilitate easy removal, I printed the rings one on top of another with a small gap in between. Once printed, these parts would look even more authentic if they were colored grey with a touch of oil or grease staining. Have fun trying this out!
