Pistol Grip Gimbal Rail
thingiverse
This is a pistol grip designed for mounting a gimbal like the DYS Smart 3-axis onto a handheld pistol grip, allowing it to be used independently of the drone. The rails are 55mm apart on center, with each rail engineered at 11mm in diameter to counteract ABS shrinkage. To simplify printing, I split the design into two separate parts. Assembly is straightforward: simply mate up the two flat surfaces - the top of the pistol grip with the back bottom of the rail piece. Then, use acetone to weld them together, resulting in a strong bond equivalent to that of a single part. A lithium-ion battery can be mounted on top using velcro. Please note, however, that the handle is significantly oversized, bordering on excessively large. I will redesign it and upload an updated STL file in the near future.
