Pirate Ship
thingiverse
I'm constructing a pirate vessel for my five-year-old. The ship features a concealed cargo compartment and crow's nest for miniature figurines. I haven't tested it yet, but I suspect it may be prone to tipping over due to its design. If you aim to float this model, you'll likely need to add some weight to the bottom of it. Printing is relatively straightforward: lay the ship flat on its side, duplicate the mast, and print two copies with the flat sides facing down. Next, print ten cannons and assemble them together using glue. A cover for the cargo hold simply sits atop it. Print two railings with their flat sides facing down as well, and attach them to the deck. The railings might be slightly too long. Finally, you'll notice small clip attachments on the mast that allow you to secure a sail. With this pirate ship in hand, happy sailing is yours!
