PiPiece
thingiverse
The Raspberry Pi and its camera module can be used to create an electronic eyepiece for telescopes or other optical systems. This project, known as PiPiece, features an eyepiece that is printable in 0.965", 1.25", and 2.0" sizes using black filament to reduce internal reflections. You will need a Model A Raspberry Pi, camera module, SD card with operating system, power supply, case for the Raspberry Pi, USB WiFi dongle (optional), and a USB battery (optional). Additionally, you'll need small-diameter nuts and bolts to hold the printed parts together. Assembly instructions can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:181310, and focusing and pointing tips are provided for optimal use. To prevent light leakage, add "disable_camera_led=1" in /boot/config.txt on the Raspberry Pi's SD card. More details about the project can be found at its homepage: https://github.com/dmopalmer/PiPiece.
