The Piper PA-28 series is a family of single-engine, low-wing, four-seat aircraft designed to deliver exceptional performance. The initial model, the Cherokee, emerged in the 1960s with a square wing and fixed tricycle undercarriage. Initially available with engines ranging from 140 to 180 horsepower, the Cherokee quickly gained popularity among flying clubs and schools worldwide for its simplicity and versatility. In the 1970s, Piper unveiled an upgraded version of the Cherokee, known as the Warrior. The Warrior's most notable feature is its tapered wing, which significantly enhances stability. Both the Cherokee and Warrior remain top choices among pilots due to their ease of handling and adaptability. Later in the 1960s, Piper introduced a more advanced model called the Arrow. This aircraft boasts retractable undercarriage and increased power, setting it apart from its predecessors. Building on the success of the Warrior, the Arrow incorporates similar design changes, solidifying its reputation as an exceptional flying machine. The "PA" in PA-28 is a nod to Piper Aircraft's commitment to innovation and excellence. The model features distinct windows, wheels, and propellers, printed separately in various colors from the fuselage for added realism. Recent updates have refined the models, resized windows, and split the fuselages into pieces for easier printing with Simplify3D. Additionally, the landing gear has been fine-tuned, and the spinner has been removed to provide space for lead weight.
