The PA-18 Super Cub is a two-seat, single-engine aircraft that originated with Piper Aircraft back in 1949. Born from the more modest Piper PA-11, it builds upon its heritage directly linking itself to the earlier J-3 and dating all the way back to the Taylor E-2 Cub of the 1930s. In nearly four decades of manufacturing, a staggering number of over 9,000 units rolled off the production line. Today, the Super Cub remains highly versatile and can be commonly seen tackling demanding roles like bush flying and banner towing.
