Piper Cubs with most models utilize white plastic (nylon?) two-piece fairleads to prevent cables from rubbing against the fuselage or lift struts when passing through. In some situations, such as near the gas tanks, the fairlead clip is notoriously difficult to install. Without the clip installed, a standard two-piece fairlead will instantly fall out of position. This innovative design caters specifically to experimental Cubs that require easy access to hard-to-reach fairleads, allowing it to snap into place from a single direction with ease.
