This is an optional US Piper 1.3 upgrade kit designed specifically for the Piper 1.2 3D Printer available on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2966295. The kit upgrades the linear motion system of both X and Y axes to standard linear rods, offering 8 or 12 mm options. This upgrade is compatible with both the Piper 1.1 and Piper 1.2 models. A PTFE Z slider is included as an experimental feature; however, it has not been thoroughly tested for use on the Piper 1 model. A similar design was previously tested on the Piper 2.2 model at Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3294998. For build sizes up to 300x300 mm, users can utilize 500mm length rods with LMU8 bushings for optimal performance. For larger builds, it is recommended to use 12mm rods in conjunction with LMU12 bushings. To complete the upgrade, users will need to print a total of: - X Roller: 2 pieces - Y Roller: 4 pieces - RodFixture: 10 pieces The Z Slider file provided is for the left side; it must be mirrored for use on the right side.
