Pipe Trim escutcheon

I recently incorporated a plank wall into my bathroom renovation project. To accommodate this new feature, I had to sever the old toilet supply valve, opting instead for a SharkBite push connect fitting as a replacement. The shorter pipe necessitated by the plank wall made it impossible to secure a trim piece in place. I chose a 1-inch SharkBite push connect fitting, which led me to design a split pipe escutcheon with a 1-inch central diameter and a slightly larger outer diameter. This custom-made piece slides effortlessly over the pipe or fitting, and its counterpart securely locks into position. I fabricated it using copper filament and was pleased to find that it served my purposes precisely as intended.
