Pipe to Ground Bookends

I decided to pick up some books that had fallen over and create a bookend. To add stability, I made a hole at the bottom where I could fill it with sand or heavy objects before capping it off with the foot piece. To make the bookend more versatile, I added a center pipe piece that would allow for longer shelves. It seemed like a good idea to do so. The support from the base plate only extends under the pipe overhang.
