You'll need 8mm OD replacement pipe stems that taper from 14mm at the base down to 8mm at the tip. These come in a total length of 110mm, with the insert measuring 10mm OD. Consider adjusting these measurements according to the unique specifications of your own pipes. Some may benefit from taking away .5mm IR for improved strength or increasing the OR of their insert by .25mm to enhance its snugness. Your initial prototypes might have fallen short due to excessive looseness, and with minor modifications, you can likely find better success in getting a sturdy and well-fitting piece.
