I built some display pipe stands for my shelf and I'm really pleased with how they turned out. They're pretty straightforward to make, but it took me a few tries to get one that was both quick and easy to build. Overall, it was a great weekend project. If you've got larger pipes to work with, you might need to scale this design up a bit. I found that printing mine at 115-120% gave me the right fit. I just uploaded a new thing on Thingiverse - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2931314 - which takes a much simpler approach to pipe stands based on the classic leather teardrop style holder.
