Pipe Shelf Fittings

I'm looking to create pipe fittings that can be glued directly onto EMT to give the appearance of a traditional pipe shelf while still being fully functional. The images I've included are a crude test of strength, consisting of three gallons of water held twelve inches away from the flange face. It's not exactly scientific, but with a budget that has to accommodate both shelving costs and keeping my wife happy, something had to give!
