Pipe hanger for 1/2 inch Schedule 40 pipe
thingiverse
This design aims to securely hold airline hoses in my workshop, crafted from sturdy Schedule 40 iron piping. It is specifically engineered to maintain a consistent 3/4 inch gap between the hose and wall space, accommodating unions and other necessary fittings with ease. The pre-drilled holes are precision-cut for snug #8 wood screw installation, ensuring a secure hold without over-tightening. To test durability, I've printed two versions in PLA and one in PETG, but nylon or ABS would likely prove more suitable materials due to their superior strength. A loose fit is intentionally designed into the pipe hole to allow for expansion without restriction. Interestingly, Schedule 80 piping features identical outer diameters, making it a viable substitute with minimal modification required. Using FreeCad software, I created these models, which can be easily adapted to accommodate various pipe sizes or screw types as needed.
