Picture in picture drone feed. One standard main feed looks forward from the drone's usual position, and a secondary feed follows the pilot's HMD movement (head-mounted display) and its tracked orientation. When the pilot looks left, the PIP (picture-in-picture) from the equipped secondary 360 camera also looks left, while the main feed remains perfectly visible in the HMD's main screen. This setup allows pilots to fly the drone and look around simultaneously, just like an Apache helicopter gunship turret points towards where the pilot is looking. We could add a tertiary camera (and feed) behind or below the craft for landing assistance or cargo viewing if needed. When scaled up, we could have four cameras or eight, with corresponding octant screens inside the ship forming a complete 360-degree circle around the interior, depicting what's outside the craft as if looking straight through its walls.
