The artwork is taken from the plaque attached to the Pioneer 10 and 11 spacecrafts. Pioneer 10 was the very first spacecraft to leave our Solar system behind. Radio communication with it was cut off in 2003 due to power loss at the transmitter, which had reached a distance of about 80 astronomical units when contact was lost. This task turned out to be quite straightforward, as SVG files for this design are easily accessible. The particular illustration you see here was created using a Jumbo Egg with a Sakura Pigma Micron .005 pen.
