Name: Chess Pieces. Crafted in a bunker where Ukrainian Jews from Kolomyya hid during World War II. A complete set of handcrafted chess pieces made by Pola Najder (1917-1997) during World War II, while she and her husband were hiding with eight others in a bunker in Kolomyya. Due to the lack of paint, all pieces are the same color. To distinguish between black and white, half of them have an "X" mark on the bottom.
