Name: Chess Set. Made in a bunker where Jewish residents of Kolomyya hid during World War II. A complete set of chess pieces made by Pola Najder (1917-97) during World War II, when she and her husband and eight other people took shelter in a bunker in Kolomyya. Due to lack of access to paint, all the chess pieces are the same color. To distinguish between black and white, half of them were marked with an "X" from underneath.
