Name: Chess Pieces. Made in a bunker where during World War II Jewish people from Kolomyya were hiding. A complete set of chess pieces made by Pola Najder (1917-97) during World War II, when she and her husband hid with eight others in a bunker in Kolomyya. Due to lack of access to paint, all the pieces are the same color. To distinguish between black and white, half of them were marked with an "X" on the bottom.
