Name: Chess Pieces. Crafted in a bunker where during World War II, Jews from Kołomyja were hiding. A complete set of chess pieces made by Pola Najder (1917-97) during World War II, when she and her husband hid with 8 others in a bunker in Kołomyia. Due to lack of paint access, all pieces are the same color. To distinguish black from white, half of them were marked from underneath with an "X" sign.
