Pinup Nose Art
pinshape
This model was inspired by a donor who requested a design reminiscent of the nose art found on B-17 Fortresses and other World War II bombers. This style is known as Nose Art. It was a challenging project that required attention to detail, particularly with the hair - a 1950s-style model demanded a significant amount of work. The obligatory bomb beneath the attractive female figure sits atop a stack of clouds for stability reasons during printing. This model is massive, equivalent in size to The Huntress, so I printed it diagonally to accommodate a 150x150mm bed. The large scale was necessary to ensure clear prints of intricate details like high heels and hair - be cautious when scaling down the model, as I haven't tested this scenario. As usual, no support material is required. This model has been successfully tested with ABS filament, but results may vary with PLA. Recommended printing parameters include a 0.2mm layer height, two perimeters, and 10% infill (with "Infill only when needed" enabled).
