Over two decades ago, I vividly remember watching a 3D display on TV and being captivated by its simplicity combined with the stunning visual experience it provided. Recently, I came across images of this fascinating technology online (https://pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=pinscreen&rs=typed&0=pinscreen%7Ctyped). Intrigued, I created a model measuring 420 x 420 mm with 220 pins to prepare for potentially building my own. The origins of this display are somewhat unclear – while Alexandre Alexeieff is credited with its invention on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandre_Alexeieff), Ward Fleming is mentioned as the person who patented it. For a truly spectacular example of this technology in action, check out this YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9eGXtt17uM).
