This Pinocchio is built using head, body, arms and legs held together with various screws. It is made in 3 different sizes. The large size uses plastic screws and nuts printed as part of the files. Each nut is followed by a rounded nut which is used to keep the main nut from being removed. There is a wrench included in the parts that allows the nut to be loosened or tightened to change the pose and lock into place. The head is held on with magnets. The lower neck piece is recessed into the body, and there is a hole that allows the shoulder bolt to pass thru. The screws and nuts were fabricated using NUT JOB program, and then 3D Builder to modify the heads and threads. Notice that the bolts are flat on one side allowing them to be printed FLAT on the print bed. This makes them stronger and easier to print. The flattened thread does not inhibit the ability to be usable. The medium size uses store-bought bolts (1/4 inch 24 NC with hex head). I used a thread tap to thread the holes where the bolts are tightened. See photo and assembly diagram. The head and neck are glued together. The neck extends down into the body. Insert a screw in the middle of the back that allows the head to be rotated 90 degrees each way but not be pulled out. The small size uses this wood screws to hold the arms and legs in place. The head and neck are similar to the medium build.
