Pinocchio nose

If you're familiar with "Shrek - The Musical," you know the problem: Pinocchio's nose has to grow whenever he lies. I came up with a solution, and it starts by connecting the actuator to the nose using a silicone tube. I bought a 6.5mm outer/4mm inner diameter tube from Amazon, and then threaded a 0.105 inch rigid weed eater string through the tube. Next, I hot-glued the tube to the hole in the nose and the string to the nose tip. The string was then fed into the slider and secured with super glue. To keep the tubing and string running smoothly, they need lubrication. I used non-toxic garage door lubricant for this purpose.
