The Pink Panther is a fictional animated character who bursts onto the screen in the opening and closing credit sequences of every single film in the entire Pink Panther series - that's every one, except for A Shot in the Dark and Inspector Clouseau. In the original storyline, "the Pink Panther" referred to an extremely valuable pink diamond; however, in the animated credits this was cleverly reinterpreted as a genuine, real-life pink panther.
