The PingPong King / Queen Trophy ==================== The Model: --------------------- This trophy is meant a challenge cup which needs to be won 3 times in a row before it can be claimed by the champion. With every win, a PingPong ball is added inside the cup . To create this trophy, I did combine three models of other creators which are all linked somewhere on that page. The trophy has some fine parts which can break easily if not handled carefully. Therefore, I did separate the pillars and the crown from the Trophy and added some “inserts” to put it together after printing. In case that a pillar or the crown breaks, you can easily replace that part. The shorter pillar on top of the racket is not replaceble. Watch out when putting on the crown to not break that pillar. Print the following parts to get the trophy as shown in the picture: * 1x Trophy.stl - This is the main part of the trophy * 2x Pillar.stl - Those are the two pillars holding the balls in place * 1x Crown.stl - This is the crown on top to give it some more stability – and it looks cool! If you prefer to print all at once (without the ugly inserts for the pillars) or want to make some changes to the model, you can find the .f3d File (exported from Fusion360) attached to this thing. Note that you will not be able to add the PingPong Balls if you print the crown on top of it. Always print the crown separately - extra benefit: no support needed. Support: --------------------- A well-tuned printer should be able to print the trophy without support. I strongly suggest adding some support to the Base to maintain precision on those corners of the “Nameplate”. I also suggest printing the crown individually and add it to the top after the printing is done. If the crown is printed on top right away it will need support and you won't be able to add the PingPong balls afterwards. Used things to create the trophy: --------------------- The Base: Original Model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:520101 Changes: * The Base was changed in size (I do not remember the factor…) * Inserts for the pillars were added to the base * The lower Part of the “Nameplate” was lowered down to the foot of the base to make it easier to print (less overhang). I still suggest printing the Base with support from the table just to get more precision on those corners of the “Name-Plate”. The Racket: Original Model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2456299 Changes: * The parts of the racket were joined together. * The racket was changed in size (I still don’t remember the factor) and was put into the base. * The proportions of the racket are not completely accurate anymore because the racket had to be thickened a bit for stability.
