Ping Pong Paddle with Strings
pinshape
Ever wanted to bring your tennis skills to ping pong? Well, think again! This joke paddle is actually designed for stringing. Your ping pong game may take a drastic hit with this paddle in play. I highly recommend not applying any tension if you're using a tennis stringer as a joke, since the frame tends to warp and deform easily. Use strings that are roughly 1.15mm in diameter. An alternative way of stringing could be using floss or a similar material. I printed this paddle in both PLA and ABS. My PLA print severely deformed after stringing, so I didn't bother with my ABS print because it felt weaker compared to the PLA one. Maybe I'm just not skilled enough with ABS. In theory, ABS should work best for this project. The paddle is divided into four parts, making it easy to fit in a 20x20 cm build platform. After printing the files, you'll need to glue them together using loctite super glue gel control – it works amazingly well! The arrangement of the pieces should be self-explanatory.
